Pieter Vancamp graduated as a biologist at the University of Leuven, and obtained a Ph.D at the same university. He spent more than 4 years as a post-doc at the Natural History Museum in Paris and the University Clinic of Essen in Germany. His main work focusses on thyroid hormones and endocrine disruptors in brain development. Now, he's working as a post-doc at the INRAE in Nantes. In addition Pieter has teached practical sessions on adaptive physiology, as well as animal structure and function, and also (co-)authored two books on human body physiology for a broad audience.
